It’s easy for perspectives to take precedence over relationships.
We will bash people over the head with our viewpoints and belittle their beliefs in the process.
Anyone who knows me well knows that this has been my tendency throughout life.
I always valued “stating the truth” over building relationships.
The problem is “Just saying the truth” often leads to burning bridges and no longer being able to reach someone.
All because I did not want to take the time to invest in someone through the long haul.
It’s the path of least resistance.
It’s easy to put up a wall with a sign declaring your viewpoint on the other side instead of inviting someone in and having authentic conversation.
Stop putting up walls because it’s the most convenient thing to do.
Let someone in and take the time.
