Legacy

Stop for a little and reflect on the way that you have lived your life. Take some time and think about what you have been up to this point. How you handle situations, what you’re known for by your friends.

Think about what words people would use to describe you.

Reflect on how you have dealt with controversy in life.

Think about your day to day life right now.

What words could you use to describe it?

If you don’t like who you have been up to this point-change. Decide that you’re going to be different.

Intentionally take a self-inventory and recognize the traits that you have. Ask those closest to you to point out quality traits in you as well as the unsavory ones. (Finding friends who will honestly tell you is rare, but most will at least give you a few personality traits that you can draw conclusions from.)

Take some time to write out what you want to be known for. Keep that list around and remind yourself of it. Make the decision to live your life intentionally. Foster the virtues you want to be known for and restrain/stop the growth of unattractive traits.

Every day and every decision that you make determines a little bit of your legacy.

What do you want to be remembered for?
