The mediocre and average settle for what’s acceptable. They only do as they are told and just get by with everything else. They never step out of their own lane. If they are asked to clean, they clean just enough to get by. They show up just a few minutes late. They rejoice when leadership leaves the room so they will not be held accountable for being lazy.
Take initiative. Do what you are asked to do with excellence and then do more. Work hard, take your job seriously. Be remarkable in how you conduct yourself on a day to day basis. Improve just a little every day. Don’t settle for acceptable, strive for amazing.
In the boring and mundane places your legacy is made.
